Being a healthy school means health and wellbeing is embedding into our curriculum. The pupils benefit from two physical education lessons per week, both indoors and outdoors and they have many opportunities throughout the day to develop their physical skills through the foundation phase curriculum.
Classes all deliver 'Relax Kids' sessions to help the children relax their minds, especially after a busy playtime or lunchtime. Classes provide many opportunities for the children to talk about their wellbeing and learn about managing emotions.
Pupils stay well hydrated during the school day with water being freely available to them at any time. Juice is not permitted during the school day unless consumed at lunchtime as part of their lunch box.
We deliver a whole school 'Health and Wellbeing' focus week twice during the academic year.
Mrs Hogg is our Health and Wellbeing coordinator.
