Supporting Families

Many events and opportunities for families in school time

Your child has a weekly time after school for 15 minutes or so which is time for you to see the classroom, talk to the class teacher or ask a member of your child's class team a question. Pop in days are Mondays for Otters, Kingfishers, Clwyd and Elwy classes, Wednesdays for Morfa, Gele and Traed Bach classes.

Please remember Mrs Gentleman is available as Family Liaison Officer.  Her role is to support parents with pupil behaviour, attendance issues and to assist with pupils' engagement in lessons. She is available from 8.45-9am each morning and at the end of the day 3-3.15pm if you wish to make an appointment or just to have a chat regarding your child's progress.

Please don't forget coffee shop every Friday afternoon at 2.30pm - Coffee and cake in the school hall for a donation! Better than Costa Coffee!

Our Family learning courses have been very well attended so far this academic year.
We started with a reading/literacy skills course full of fun activities to find out about how our children are learning to read. Then followed the Christmas Crafts course which was so popular we doubled our sessions each week from 1 to 2! Also running was a Story sacks course which involved finding out about and making a story sack to use at home.
Mrs Paddington has been running a Health and Wellbeing course which showed us games and activities for keeping fit and eating healthily. The smoothie making was great fun!

Traed Bach had some busy Language and Play fun learning sessions before Christmas and are in the middle of their Numeracy and Play sessions now.

We started 2016 with a Numeracy skills course which included fun games and activities for families in Reception. We are just starting  a Writing Skills Course for Year 1 and 2 families.

Please get in touch if you'd like to know more about our courses.
